Customer Rating: Summary: Great Value!! Comment: I was very pleased with the quality of the inflatable boat and it was shipped promptly after my order. Thanks.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good raft for the money Comment: Don't expect a TON out of this raft but it will do the trick for under $60.
Purchased this raft during the summer of 2008 to take my son out on a few river rides. Was relatively easy to inflate. Used a portable battery operated pump I got from another Coleman product. Takes about 10 minutes to pump it up completely. To get the correct firmness and buoyancy you really do need to add several lung blows to each section of the raft.
The paddles are a little awkward but once you get the hang of it you can move along with no problems. The rubber thicker than an inflatable pool raft but not as think as you may think. Be careful not to take this thing into a river where sharp branches could puncture it. I can imagine this happening easily.
When they say this is a raft for 4 people, they mean that each person can sit on the side of the raft. It really can only fit two people and that's pushing it. For my son (5 years old) and I (250lb) there was enough room.
Can't complain about this raft too much. It did everything I asked it to do and it's better than renting a raft for $30 a pop when you can buy this simple raft for outdoor fun for under $60.
Customer Rating: Summary: just what i needed Comment: this raft is a good one for the price. the only negative is the oars are cheap and too short and i will be buying new ones. inflates quickly even with a hand pump and holds 2 adults comfortably. Its not possible to put four people in the raft as it advertises, maybe 3 small adults. The raft is more stable in the water than i expected it to be.
Customer Rating: Summary: Decent for the price! Comment: Okay, as I'm sure everyone is aware of, this boat is rated 4 people by weight, not by volume. Some contents in the boat may have shifted during useage, resulting in less space than expected. I think this boat is a 2-2.5 person boat; meaning 2 people can fit in the boat with some gear if one of the individuals is holding the equipment the whole time. One thing I plan on doing before I next venture out again in this boat is buy an anchor! If it is windy, or there is a current, this boat tends to drift very easily. I took this boat fishing on a small lake, and I spent half the time rowing back out away from the shore! I'd get out to the drop-off, and after a few casts I found myself drifing back to shore! Due to the reasonable price, however, I can't really complain about much!
Customer Rating: Summary: Decent product but made for two people Comment: I took this to the lake and it was pretty decent. Its not anything fast but holds it own and quick to inflate. Its made for 2 people (not four) but it could hold 3 little people. If you want something for a relaxing day or picnic on the lake or pond, then this is pretty cool.
