The plastic case could be smashed easily BUT it is exactly what we were looking for. We needed a combination lock with a short cable to lock side by side refrigerator doors and it works perfectly in that application. That is the MAXIMUM amount of time you can leave this lock unattended. If you use this cable lock (or any 3-wheel combination lock) in a hotel room as an alternate "safe" while you are out for the day, any thief will have more than enough time to sit around and leisurely brute force break your combination.
