Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Fails after an hour. Very poor tech support. Comment: If the product worked, it would be fine, but it locks up after about an hour of use. I phoned tech support. They took 20 minutes to pick up. The tech was very difficult to understand. He told me that he couldn't help me, but if I wanted to RMA it would take 3-4 weeks. The RMA process did not work and I have not received a replacement. Nice. Customer Rating: Summary: Great device for the money Comment: I purchased this camera to use at my cabin. I have trouble keeping a computer with a conventional webcam alive when I'm not there, so this was a great solution since it plugs straight into the router and functions without a computer. I find the picture quality to be good as long as there is adequate lighting. Actually, you can see quite a bit even in low light. I haven't been able to figure out how to put the video feed onto a separate web page, otherwise I would give the camera five stars. Programming the router for remote access via your ISP is not all that easy, but it can be done with a little understanding of IP addressing and networks. The camera has an amazing pan and tilt range! Customer Rating: Summary: Very poor picture quality Comment: I figured it was to good to be true. A 4x digital zoom is bad, should be optical. Of course you kinda get what you pay for and in this case you get a camera that has pan, tilt and zoom. The only problem is the picture quality is very bad. I have a non PTZ camera from another company and the picture quality is excellent. I guess that adding the other features somehow affects the picture quality.
