Summary: Great Product, Package Recommends Better Batteries
Comment: Very happy with product!!! I'm using it to detect an overflowing clothes washer. Sounds when water touches it as advertised. Washer is in garage, 1st floor. Alarm is loud enough for me to hear from 2nd floor with garage door closed and furnace running in background but it isn't painfully loud like a smoke alarm. Package recommends better batteries for long-term use. Is a 'As Seen on TV' product.
Addendum 12/20: Just noticed the price increase. It went up by $10--now it is $50. Did the sellers raise the price for Christmas? As a consumer, I'd either wait for the price to come down again or search somewhere else.

Summary: Works OK but has a repeating beep every 2-6 hours
Comment: I had to box all these up and send them back. I found that they produced a single beep on the average of every 4 - 6 hours which became very irritating especially in the kitchen since they were all concentrated in this area which is also near the laundry. I even put them on a sheet of plastic and wax paper as well, thinking that maybe the concrete, wood or tile they were resting on was conducting enough electricity to cause them to do this. It wasn't. Maybe mine is a bad batch or maybe the single small beep 4 times a day or more from each one may not bother anyone else. Not trying to tell you to steer away, just be sensitive on this so you can return them before the window closes if it is an issue with yours as well.
I am going to buy a different brand. I'll pay more but sorry Smart Home, I can't live with this irritating beep.

Comment: I've had two potentially serious , water leak incidents since aquiring this product .
Both were stopped early and fixed thanks to
these alarms . It's cheap and effective
insurance . Make a note to change the
batts once a year .

Summary: WOW!!! 1 day after installing it, it sounded an alarm.
Comment: 1 day after receiving the water leak sensor, it sounded an alarm from under the sink. I said no way there is water there, I went and checked it, lo and behold, there was water splashing from the sink when washing dishes. I will caulk the area, and hope for the best.

Summary: Good value, but included batteries are not alkaline type
Comment: I wished I had one of these sensors under my kitchen sink a couple of months ago. Had a leak and by the time I noticed it my wood floor was damaged. These sensors would have warned my prior to damage. The included 9V batteries are not alkaline type so you may want to replace them after a few months of use.
