The life for this thing is about two weeks if you use it everyday and then you have to charge it, or if you want you use it with the wire on and don't have to worry about the battery. It's very quiet, the charge lasts a couple of weeks, but the shaver takes 3 to 4 swipes over a 1-day growth stubble to fully cut it to a somewhat smooth level. The sideburn trimmer is useless - have to use a razor there. Also have to use a razor for errant neck hairs. All in all, not bad but not great.
