Customer Rating: Summary: Not user Friendly Comment: My previous Timex watch allowed me to turn the stopwatch on in one step. This one u must press the mode switch to bring the stop watch function up then press the start button. Alot of hassle. The band also has a notch on the band that makes it a hassle getting off and on. I really loved my old Ironman. This new one is just OK
Customer Rating: Summary: Great watch with replaceable strap! Comment: This watch is very good at doing what it says it does. The multiple alarms (3) are really useful. The watch is slightly improved for the triathlon I had in the early 90s. Although it is a digital watch, it doesn't look too ostentatious. My favorite thing about this watch is that you can replace the strap if it breaks, which is not the case on the newer sleek-style timex watches (also I don't really like the way they look).
Customer Rating: Summary: Good running watch Comment: I had another Ironman watch, a midsize that was black and grey. This fullsize one is a little different - seems to have more features and has a more flexible band. It also seems more comfortable while running. I realy like the all black with a bit of red appearance. The multi-colored watches just seem a bit less serious and maybe less 'manly'.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good, practical watch Comment: It does what they say it will. The 3 time zones are very helpful when traveling. It keeps good time. I like the countdown function - helps to remind me when time is up. The Ironman logo on the glass is distracting, but this is the only thing I can complain about.
I have had several Ironman watches and I love them. The main downside has been the loop on the watchband. They always break and the end of the band sticks out. This has a different design for the loop, so hopefully it won't break as quickly.
