Comment: LUX Pro Programmable Heat Only Thermostat
Our previous thermostats could not be set precisely and it was only a guess where the temperature was set. Then the temperature dropped considerable before it would turn on, then go way above the temperature before turning back off.
The new thermostats were easy to install and the programming was a snap. Now we know exactly what the temperature is, what it is set to and we set the "swing" at 2 degrees. We eventually purchased seven thermostats. A backlit panel would have been nice, though.

Comment: Changed out junk mechanical thermostat that varied temps. by 5-10 degs. daily. These things are great and they will help greatly on the power bill, if you have mechanical go with these digital and save some money.

Comment: The item looked fine.
There are a couple of things you need to consider. This product is rated for 15 Amps maximum and my baseboard heater runs at 21 Amps.
Also, when I opened up current thermostat, there was no easy way to figure out which wire (both the same color) was the one that went to the box and the one that went to the heater. When I used a current checker I had to put one end into a ground (bathroom outlet next to the thermostat) and the end on to each wire to find the hot wire. Not sure if this is the correct way to determine it, but that was all I could come up with.
I would have loved to use this item, and they should report the amps. I know it doesn't make sense to write a review on something I didn't try, but think about the hassle and money I saved you when I was out the restocking fee.

Comment: This Product does the Job very well for those heating systems that use a 120V. This Product has all the features of the more expensive items and is worth more then many other competing products.

Comment: The product is probably wonderful, however, I had my first negative experience with Amazon. I ordered 3 thermostats and they arrived promptly. One thermostat's package looked previously opened, sure enough, it had been used and then returned. The wires were cut and parts missing. The second thermostats package not only had been opened but there were written notes in the directions! I returned them for a full refund, which they granted. Other than that, Amazon is great!
