Summary: Will bust all myths EXCEPT 9/11 fairy tale
Comment: I have seen many of the episodes and they are entertaining. However I find it disappointing that on the Mythbusters website, where they take suggestions for new myths to tackle, they state "9/11 topics are inappropriate". Hmm, the worst attack ever on American soil is inappropriate? How so? I find this as a lame cop out to ever tackle the greatest myth ever, that is, that 19 hijackers with boxcutters and Osama Bin Laden outsmarted the greatest military defense ever (for a great review deconstructing this myth I recommend Zeitgeist the Movie part 2). The official 9/11 story holds no water so instead of attempting to defend the official 9/11 conspiracy theory (which would be difficult to do) they simply deem it as "inappropriate". As if this wasn't lame enough, they then recommend and link to the Popular Mechanics (the defenders of the official 9/11 story) article Debunking the 9/11 Myths, which unfortunately has already been de-debunked by David Ray Griffin's Debunking 9/11 Debunking book. But hey who cares, after all Mythbusters got some extra publicity with an advertisement on the Popular Mechanics webpage that they linked to! Who's makin' extra bucks on that deal? Moral of the story? If you have a question 9/11-related, don't try mentioning it to Mythbusters and you're probably better off keeping your mouth shut.

Summary: Excellent DVD
Comment: Cable TV has just become to expensive I canceled it all but the basic package which cut my cost to cable by over $50 a month. My son and I loved the Discovery chanel so I have taken to purchasing the dvd's to the programs he most liked on Discovery. We love being able to watch what we want when we want and now he no longer has access to TRASH TV.
We love Mythbusters and continue to collect all of their DVD's.

Summary: Every Kid's Dream
Comment: I love this show, they do what every kid wants to do. See how things work and whether myths are true.
Adam (a bit "goofier") and Jamey (more dead pan) work perfectly together mixing an entertaining blend of humor and science in trying to find out whether a "myth" is real or not. And often the experiments are things we would all like to try, but don't, for good reason.
It is a great show for older (mature) children to watch with adults.

Comment: Mythbusters is by far one of Discovery's best shows. Everything from the animations used to describe the myths to Adam and Jamie's competitions to everyone somehow finding ways to hurt Adam and/or Tori never ceases to entertain (and educate) me.

Comment: Bought this for my son and he has watched it over and over again. Loves it and laughs all the time while watching. He can't wait to get more of this series. But he has to help around the house to earn them. Which he is doing to get the next one.
