Summary: Excellent Product
Comment: I find this to be an excellent Radar Detector. I wanted a detector that had the ability to sense the radar signal at a good distance. This one has not let me down. If you are on a regular highway and this picks up a radar band of even a 1 level. I would advise you to start looking for a reason for it. This is because it will sense a signal from a long distance. Even before they can tag you.It is made well and mounts easily in your car.I found it to be worth the money and I recommend this product.

Comment: After reading several reviews decided that this product had the best compromise between performance and price for me. I have purchased two detectors within the past year. The first time it abruptly stopped working I blamed myself for not adequately protecting the device from the sun here in Florida. The second device I protected all the time from the sun,(even while driving) I did leave the detector in the car (not on dashboard) during the summer, but who expects the inconvenience of taking this product with them every time they leave their car during the lengthy summer season. The first product worked great, the second one the power cord connector fell apart (after minimal use) but this model seems to have an extraordinary short life if in high temperature environments.

Comment: I purchased this unit about 2 months ago from a vendor on Amazon. Have had several opportunities to put it through the paces - day trips as well as a trip driving from NYC to FL. The unit performed flawlessly! Detected tons of radar traps, a few laser traps, and gave me adequate warning to adjust my speed accordingly. Nice product. Great display. Great feature set. Superb customer service from Whistler too! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a radar detector in this price range.

Comment: I bought Whistler Pro-78 3 months ago and i thought it was WOW! Now its Dead, it started to shut down buy itself then it become overheated and now its in Garbage. Do Not Buy It Period.

Comment: I did a lot of searching before making this purchase, I read quite a few reviews that said that this is one of the few mid ($100) radar detectors that can actually perform close to the top end detectors which are in the ($400) range. I was most impressed with the quality, range of detection and ability to grab my attention over loud exhaust and a sound system. The car I use it on is a 96 Camaro Z28 and I have it mounted low on the windshield which seems to work and look the best. BUY IT!
