Customer Rating: Summary: Yuck Comment: I hated using this thing. HATED! It was painful, and didn't even shave my legs all that well. AWFUL. Don't waste your money. This razor totally turned me off to all electric shavers. Whatever you buy, don't get this!
Customer Rating: Summary: Needs improvement. Comment: I got one of these electric shavers as a gift quite a while ago. At the time, I knew I needed an electric shaver rather than expensive manual razors because I was about to move to Florida and I figured I didn't want to hack up my legs (using manual razors) and I wanted something that was easy to use since I would have to shave daily. When I got this as a gift, I was ecstatic that it could also be used in the shower. So I opened it, charged it overnight, and began to shave my legs the next day. As you can see from the number of stars I have given this electric shaver, I was severely disappointed.
First, I guess I was thinking more about the convenience of having a cordless machine but it turns out that cordless isn't always better. Even after a full charge, I have a hard time shaving both legs before the machine dies. Women that don't have a lot of hair on their legs may not have a problem with this but I do so it was a bit frustrating having two wait a few hours so it can recharge. Not very convenient if you want to get a quick shave in before you go to the beach only to find out that you can only do one leg because of how quickly the power runs out.
As for the actual performance of the machine, if I wanted to hurt my legs just to remove hair from them, I'd use a manual razor instead. I was surprised at how painful this was to use. I figured that since I wasn't using a razor blade that it would be ok to go over certain spots over and over again. I don't know if my legs are defective or something but this shaver just could not remove all of the hair even if I spent 5 minutes on a particular spot. It didn't bother me that I could still FEEL the stubble, it was the fact that you could SEE it that bothered me. Overall, I find the pain completely unforgiving and that is what stopped me from using this machine.
Lastly, if you plan on using this in the shower, don't bother. I had the same problems removing hair from my legs even using the water as some sort of lubrication. Not only that, but it seemed like it performed worse when water was introduced to it.
I HAVE tried cheap (in the $20 range) electric shavers that work better than this so if you're considering the Remington WDF-3000, I wouldn't even bother.
